Irish Charities
Gorta is one of the leading Irish Charities working in Third World Countries

You Can Make A Difference Now!

Gorta's primary objective is food security followed bythe other community needs. We support crop growing, water supplies, education, fish farming, primary health care, poultry, pigs, cattle, grinding mills etc. through direct partenrships with the local people. Since 1965 the futures of thousands of families have been secured.

In order for Gorta to continue helping those suffering from severe hunger in the world to help themselves WE NEED help from you.

Remember Gorta in your Will!
By leaving a gift to Gorta in your will you will leave a lasting legacy of life and hope to the Developing World. Gorta and many other charities rely on bequests in order to continue their work. We hope you will consider Gorta's work when making your will and make a gift which will give life and hope to communities for the future. If you would like more information please fill in and return the form below.

Volunteer in Ireland
Gorta relies very much on the time and good will of its volunteers. One area where you can volunteer is in our shops which are open eight hours a day, six days a week all during the year. Volunteers are vital here. Another area where you may wish to volunteer is at one of our many church gate collections around the country - keep an eye out for our posters at your local church. Some of our volunteers have been with us for many years and many find their work hugely enjoyable and see it as a great way of meeting people. To find out more about how you can get involved see below.

Will you become a partner in our work? Fill in the form below and press the 'Send Me More Information!' button.
